Here's my new painting for the upcoming show LAX/ORD in Chicago curated by Thinkspace Gallery of Culver City, CA. It will take place at Vertical Gallery

I am excited to be showing in Chicago with this group of fabulous artists.
The show opens September 3rd and continues until Sept 24th.
I hope that people who live in the Chicago area can make it out to the show.

Forgive the lack of blog posts, but I have been quite busy.
I recently finished painting an illustration for boingboing.net 
(which I will show you when the time is right) 
and I am currently working on this piece of bathers (progress shown above) 
for one of two group shows in Sept. (Chicago and L.A.).

Biscuit Paintings by Giorgio De Chirico




 How many "Metaphysical Interiors with Biscuits" did Italian artist 
Giorgio de Chirico do, I wonder? The top image was painted in 1916. 
He is one of my favorite painters and these biscuit paintings 
are fabulous.

Framed and Shipped to L.A. Collectors

 This week I'm framing and shipping a few "sold" works to 
3 notable Los Angeles collectors.
The frames that I chose for all of them are beautiful solid wood, made in Italy.

 Below: Catalog for the "ephemeral" show at Jiro Miura Gallery in Tokyo, Japan 
opened to a painting of mine called "The Waiting Room" which sold during the show in Japan 
(also to a collector living in Los Angeles).
